The Problem

A non-profit was looking to refresh its brand, redefine its positioning, and build a new website. viaSport had traditionally focussed on serving provincial sport organizations, but following the pandemic, realized there was an opportunity to engage with a broader amateur sport community audience. Despite their impactful programs, they weren't reaching as many communities as they wanted to. Their outdated website lacked engaging content, making it difficult for them to effectively communicate their mission and impact. They wanted to increase brand awareness and strengthen engagement, to attract new partners, collaborators, and staff.

The Solution

We partnered with viaSport and a web design agency to define key brand messages and positioning, create a new website, revamp their social media, and develop compelling content.

Discovery and Strategy

We began by conducting a thorough analysis of the organization's mission, target audience, and existing brand assets. We identified key areas where the brand's messaging and visuals needed improvement to resonate better with the public. We led empathy mapping workshops to align goals and approaches.

Brand Identity Enhancement

Working closely with viaSport, we refined the organization's mission and values, crafting a clear and inspiring narrative.

We developed a brand voice that communicated inclusivity, strategic leadership, and the positive impact of sport.

Social Media Integration

We worked on effective social media channel strategies to amplify the brand's reach.

We wrote a playbook to give direction and guidance for social media best practices. The content created for the website was repurposed and shared across various social media channels

Call to Action and Community Involvement

The website was designed with clear calls to action, encouraging visitors to partner, volunteer, and download resources.

Interactive elements allowed users to get involved directly through the website, increasing engagement.

Website Revamp and Content Creation

The design agency created a new website that served as a hub for all things sport and community-related.

The site was designed to be user-friendly, audience-specific, and responsive on various devices. We developed compelling content, including relevant topics such as climate change, reconciliation, safety in sport, and physical literacy.
